Overview

When performing penetration testing either yourself or by a third party, the test may reveal some pages that appear to be invalid and don't exist on the site. You would like to find the pages and delete them from the site.

Solution

The pages that are found are actually already deleted pages that reside in the Recycle Bin for your site. You will need to remove these pages permanently by following the steps below: 

1. Delete the pages from the Recycle Bin by following the instructions in the article for Purging the page from the Recycle bin
2. If clearing the recycle bin doesn't work, you can also do it manually as mentioned in the article Emptying Recycle Bin Manually When It Gets Stuck.
