Searching for Users in DNN

Overview

When a DNN administrator wants to look for a user in their environment, they will be able to search for users through the DNN Persona Bar.

Prerequisites

Solution

  1. In the Persona bar, go to Manage.
  2. Select Users. You will see the Search Users options listed at the right.
  3. The search option works as an SQL search, you will need to use * to find users (e.g. To find George, you have to syntasix George*).

This will display all the usernames beginning with 'George' followed by anything else. It also works with middle words (e.g.  *org*, this will display all the users that have 'org' in the middle of their names).
