Overview

Document properties in DNN are related to the document properties set in Windows. This article helps users who want their uploaded files to have default properties from the source server.

Prerequisites

• DNN - version 9.0 +
• Host/Superuser access is required.

Solution

The first four toggle buttons are related to the file properties of the asset itself (as on Windows), so if you make any changes in the DNN UI to the any of the attributes, it should change that property on the file stored in the file system.

This principle applies to all of the following properties:

• Read-Only
  
  

   
  
  

• Hidden
• Archive - viewable in the advanced button on the properties
  
   
  
  
• System - only viewable through command prompt.

Testing

The files/assets will now have default system properties. This should reflect even when downloaded from their site.
