Overview

DNN licenses can be activated in development environments depending on the license you have. This article explains how many development environments you can have with a DNN license.

Information

• If you currently have a development license, you can only activate one development license per development environment.
  
  

• If you have a production license, this license can only be applied to production environments. However, the production license can be activated as a development type if it is for local environment testing. 
  
  Local environments are single-user environments that cannot be accessed externally or internally in your organization.

• Production licenses can be activated as a development license type in a development environment temporarily in special situations such as testing an upgrade. The production license should only remain activated as a development type until the testing has concluded. Continuous use of the license after the testing has completed is non-compliant.
