Displaying Hierarchy in Console Module

Overview

The Console module, by default, is set to display a static list of pages in a horizontal/vertical manner without nesting them. However, you may want to organize pages in a hierarchical model as parent and child pages.

To display hierarchy in the Console module, you can use the Disabled pages as placeholders. Disabling a page adds sort of a subheader for the child pages.

To disable a page, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Page Settings of the page that you want to use as a placeholder.
  2. Click on the Advanced tab.
  3. Select More.
  4. Toggle the Disable Page option on. 
  5. Click Save.

    Please note that disabled pages are not accessible, and they only act as placeholders.

 

Testing

The disabled page is displayed as a subheader, and the enabled pages look like child pages. Please see the example below.
