404 Error Page does not appear for users

Issue:

The user is unable to see 404 page when they are navigating to non-existing pages.

Environment:

DNN 8.4.0

Root Cause:

The user had a configuration issue and did not specify the 404 Error page.

Resolution:

  Pre-requisites: The user must have an Administrator Rights.

1. Go to Settings > Site Settings > Site Behavior.
2. Click on  Default Pages >  select 404 Error Page.

Confirmation:

When the user navigates to the non-existing pages, 404 page will be displayed.
