Issue: The user's website went down for a period of time.
Environment: DNN 8.4.0
Root Cause: Big database files consuming resources with backups.
Resolution: Clean up the old records those are not needed. Please be aware: The user must have administrator rights.
- Backup your database before taking any steps.
- On your website, from persona bar go to SQL Console.
3. Execute following queries;
Check the SiteLog Table:
SELECT COUNT(*) from SiteLog
Please note:*SiteLog is no longer used in latest DNN version, but many customers have been upgrading DNN from very old versions and still have these records consuming disk space.
Check ScheduleHistory Table:
SELECT COUNT(*) from ScheduleHistoryPlease note: This table is only for troubleshoot purposes. if you are not troubleshooting the schedulers and these look good, the records are not needed.
4.Truncate both tables:
TRUNCATE TABLE SiteLog
TRUNCATE TABLE ScheduleHistor
