Expiring a Cached Item in Web Server

Overview

In this article, you will learn how to delete individual items in the cache. There is also an option to clear all items in the cache at once, which is briefly described in the section below.

 


 

Environment

  • Evoq Content
  • Evoq Engage

 


 

Prerequisites

You need a host/superuser account to be able to perform the steps outlined in this article. Hosts have full permissions to all sites in the DNN instance.

 


 

Process

Note: To delete all cache items at once, use the Clear Cache button (Persona Bar > Settings > Servers).

  1. Go to Persona Bar > Settings > Servers.

  2. Go to Server Settings > Web Servers.

  3. Under Servers, find the server you want to edit then click the Edit (pencil) icon.

    Tip: You can filter the list to show only Enabled servers or only Disabled servers.

  4. Click the Load Cache Items link.

  5. Expire individual cache items.

    1. Select the cache item from the dropdown.
      Result: The cache item is displayed in the Cache Key field as XML.

    2. Click Expire Cache Item.

  6. Click the X when done.

    Running Evoq Content version 9.02.02, the link [Load Cache Items] is not present.  What version did this option get added?
